What is Advent?

From the Latin “adventus” which means “coming” or “arrival”.

So Advent is a four-week season of reflective preparation for Christ’s Nativity at Christmas and Christ’s expected return in the Second Coming.

Thus we’re entering the first week of the Advent series at our church this weekend.
